The Project

Cuckoo Creative designed, built and installed the Myer Pop-up Shop at Southern Cross Railway Station in Melbourne during late 2012. We began the process with the latest in 3D visualisation techniques to ensure that Myer were 100% happy with the design before one cent was spent on production. We then set our skilled team of artists and technicians to work; they boast amazing skills in design and construction, scenic art, foam work, gadgetry, lighting design and all of the other schools of creative endeavour required to deliver projects of this type. Simply put, they did an outstanding job. Incorporating stand-out branding, the pop-up shop featured some of Myer’s favourite Christmas gifts in a very convenient location. This made it easy for Melbourne commuters to pick up fabulous presents for their family and friends on their way to and from work. There were gift ideas for him, for her, for kids and for that tricky kris kringle present! Our personal recommendation? Ninja Bread Men cookie cutters!

The Interesting Bit

Meeting the challenge of doing something relatively new to the retail sector and indeed Australia. Our team brainstormed ideas with a focus on creating massive impact for one of our key clients. We came up with a creative concept that led to a most impressive outcome, for both Myer and Cuckoo Creative.

The Results

It was a stunning installation which had head turning results. It brought the brand to consumers and created a feeling of goodwill – with harried commuters grateful for the convenience offered. Projected sales were exceeded and our client was one happy customer.
