Meet the team

Anthony Artmann

Anthony is an adaptable and highly skilled web developer, multimedia designer and audio producer. His phenomenal technical skills are supported by an appreciation for visual aesthetics enabling him to deliver beautiful digital content across all devices. A practiced problem solver, there is no glitch Anthony can’t fix. When he’s not behind a computer screen you’ll find him playing bass guitar or clocking up the k’s on his bike.

Azahan Rosedy

Azahan (Han) is a super sleuth IT systems engineer with more than 15 years experience working on projects around the globe including a highly confidential top secret project for the Royal Malaysian Police! A self-confessed computer geek, we like to think of him as our in house cyber spy. When he’s not busy developing awesome websites for our clients Han plays death metal guitar, produces electronic music and has recently stepped away from his computer to explore the outdoors and camping.

Ben Claydon

Ben knows a thing or two about management having started a business from the back of his house and growing it into a multi-million dollar company. He has a particular knack for understanding how small businesses interact with enterprise and his commanding presence ensures that things get done. With decades of experience in the event biz Ben has worked on everything from TV shows to superstar rock concerts. Outside the office he’s a mad keen scuba diver and all round adrenaline seeker jumping out of planes, diving in caves and even making his way to Mt Everest. He also has two pet turtles and a dog called Dash with a sizeable Instagram following.

Charlene Deveny

Charlene is an experienced accountant with a career spanning more than a decade in roles such as senior financial accountant, tax accountant and auditor for the auditor general! Her meticulous attention to detail sees Cuckoo’s administration run like clockwork. In her spare time Charlene loves to roll up her sleeves and get into a crafty project or get her hands dirty working in the garden. She’s also the proud owner of a beloved pet turtle named Freddie and a dog called Cooper.

Chloe Dias

Chloe is a dedicated relationship builder and driven project facilitator, with over 10 years’ experience working in Account/Project Manager roles within sectors as varied as image/print production, marketing, charities, financial services and IT. Chloe is passionate about the power of social media and has created a small business utilising social media marketing channels. She also volunteers as a Digital Marketing Manager for The Stencil Art Prize (the worlds largest stencil event). When not at work or engaging with her two energetic children (and dog!), Chloe indulges her passion for painting and recycling pre-loved furniture, creatively transforming old pieces into something fresh and new.

Dave Deveny

Dave is a dynamic and fearless leader; he’s experienced, committed, flexible, driven and smart. His career spans over 30 years delivering exceptional results for the likes of Shell, Myer, Telstra, Audi, The Australian Open, Disney, Tourism Victoria and many more. Dave is great at building effective, powerful teams and has hand-picked every member of the Cuckoo crew. He’s a master strategist developing innovative ideas to cut through the clutter. Other than being our courageous leader, Dave is a keen foodie and loves to cook. He’s seriously attached to social media which he claims is for work purposes, and supposedly he can talk under water.

Jacinta Tierney

Jacinta has jumped from the IT world into marketing with more than 12 years’ experience as a business analyst and project coordinator for the likes of Probuild constructions and the Australian Wheat Board. Her organisation skills and process driven approach to managing projects makes her an invaluable asset to the Cuckoo team. Jacinta is also a self-confessed coffee snob with a healthy addiction to the liquid gold. After a busy week at Cuckoo HQ her ideal weekend would include a road trip, Sunday brunch and a perfect flat white.

Jo Harrison

Jo is a determined and efficient marketing practitioner with over 15 years in the industry. From strategy to execution Jo has managed a significant portfolio of projects with companies including Estee Lauder, Ford Motor Company, Melbourne Water, Medicare Local and Statewide Mutual. As group account director, Jo is brilliant at keeping complex project on track, on budget and on time. Jo confesses to a minor addiction to red shoes and a major addiction to waves.

Kasey Freckleton
Event Producer

You can’t beat experience and Kasey has plenty of it. She has spent the last fifteen years working in a number of roles throughout various industries. From music festivals, gala nights and automotive launches to her recent stint in NSW for the World Polo Championship, Kasey has mastered the art of event management. Complete with a Diploma in Property Services (Asset and Facilities Management) with RMIT University, Kasey knows exactly how to make your event a success.  When she’s not running events, she’s running the social schedule of her niece and nephew and exploring Melbourne while planning her next overseas adventure. 

Kate Wood

Kate is a strategic marketing and events specialist with a successful career spanning 10 years for the likes of Mercedes Benz and the City of Melbourne. One of her proudest achievements was managing an event which raised more than 100k to keep the doors of Women’s crisis accommodation open. Kate is passionate about good design and has a mild addiction to mid-century furniture with an ever growing collection of chairs. She also keeps busy outside Cuckoo with her 3 active kids and running the local Auskick in her community.

Kylie Bire

Kylie is a creative and talented graphic designer with an eye for colour and exceptional attention to detail. Kylie has experience working both within strict corporate style guides and delivering completely new brand identities. She’s also a passionate print expert ensuring consistent representation of the brands she works for. Other than designing exquisite marketing collateral, Kylie is a brilliant interior decorator and renovator, and loves running, cycling and getting out into the great outdoors.

Luke Carlino

Luke has been writing for many years within the very diverse worlds of finance and entertainment. After spending over thirteen years in the finance industry Luke has recently relocated from Adelaide to Melbourne to pursue his two great loves, writing and music. An avid original musician Luke has toured Australia, USA and the UK and released two EPs. When he is not writing words for Cuckoo or his music, Luke enjoys spending time with friends and family and his Staffy x Dalmatian named Bizkit.

Mark Algie

Mark is an adaptable, resourceful and hard-working production manager. With over 25 years in the events business Mark is a master at finding out of the box solutions for challenging problems. He specialises in all technical facets of event production and has worked on major events for Ford, HSBC, Merrill Lynch, Kelly Racing and RACGP. A passionate motorsports enthusiast, Mark spends his spare time restoring classic motorcycles and is also close to becoming a licensed helicopter pilot.

Michael Gold

Michael is a gifted and innovative strategist who brings a wealth of experience from over 25 years in senior management roles. Specialising in business development, manufacturing, distribution, post production and promotions Michael has worked for EMI Music, Red Bee Media and AAV Digital Pictures. Michael is a passionate music lover following the festival circuit and playing the Djembe (West African hand drum), spoons & Kazoo. He’s also a loyal Hawks supporter.

Michelle Leland
Human Resources and Office Manager

Michelle’s experience not only spans a number of roles, but a number of countries. After fourteen years working in sales and admin support in the USA, Michelle popped over to Sweden to work in learning & development for seven years before joining us here at Cuckoo. Michelle has an MA in Adult Learning and loves to take any opportunity she can to expand on her already extensive knowledge. She is extremely excited about her new home down under and likes to spend her free time discovering the many culinary delights that are on offer with friends and family.

Nicole Akehurst

Nicole is a passionate and experienced graphic designer. Coming from a print background, Nicole brings with her 10+ years in the industry. She has a broad range of experience, having worked with large franchise companies, through to small businesses. An eye for detail and an enthusiasm for all things design ensures consistency, versatility and top quality output. Nicole’s creative interests expand beyond the Mac and include cooking, music and creating hand-made masterpieces with her two beautiful daughters. She is also not usually far from either a cup of coffee or glass of wine.

Steve Ansell

Steve brings a wealth of knowledge to the Cuckoo team with more than 35 years in sales and sales management for insurance, professional development services, home furnishings, construction materials, radio and print. Having built a number of successful businesses and originally training as an instrument maker for the RAAF (not the musical kind) he is an invaluable asset to our crew. Steve is passionate about rescuing ex-racing greyhounds and loves to make reproduction furniture and kitchens in his spare time. Steve originally met Dave and Ben over 25 years ago in musical theatre but what happened in the theatre must stay in the theatre!

Stuart Farmer

Another member of the team hailing from the UK, Stuart is conceptual and creative and a lover of the classic pencil and sketch pad. Stuart has enjoyed a career spanning more than 18 years working creatively in London, Singapore and Melbourne for highly recognised global brands including Colliers International, CBRE, Knight Frank, IP Global, Jones Lang Lasalle, Savilles, YOO, I Quit Sugar and BBC Asia. Outside the office, Stuart barbecues fierce and fiery Jamaican Street food, is a proud cycling MAMIL (Middle aged man in Lycra) and a Triathlete who’s a terrible swimmer!

Wayne Latham

With 2 decades of experience with some of Australia’s most iconic brands in creative and strategic leadership roles, there’s few creative challenges Wayne hasn’t taken on. Delivering creative direction across brand and product campaigns, new brand and logo development, graphic design and photography, Wayne has many creative pursuits. Prior to joining Cuckoo Creative, Wayne spent 10 years at Myer where he was the General Manager, Creative Brand and Visual Merchandise. When Wayne isn’t making us look good he likes to spend time going the movies, cooking and making sure his impressive wardrobe is styled with flair.
